Traditionally, wheel weighers inherently lose some accuracy because the axles are forced to rise above ground level by a significant distance, as they traverse the wheel weigher. The Ultra-Low Profile Axle Weigher diminishes this inaccuracy by keeping the axles very close to the ground. Wheel Weighers are an economical alternative to Weighbridges and Axle Weighers. They are not as precisely accurate as a weighbridge because part of the vehicle remains off the Weigher, and therefore introduces errors because of gravity and friction. Their appeal is mostly due to their portability, that is, their ability to be easily relocated with the only requirement being a flat, solid surface to place them on.
